Fabric is an amazing medium to create what the imagination desires. My Peruvian and Mexican heritage influences the myriad of colors I must work into each piece. The fabrics themselves are designed by a multitude of artists, and I gather them carefully to piece a collaborative creation.

We are all born with unique creativity that when expressed, can link us
all by a common thread. Art heals, moves, changes, creates and empowers. I
have found my voice in merging different media, with a passion for fabric.
My name, Alma, means "soul"
in Spanish. It is meaningful to me to mention that I see art as an
expression of the soul and as a way of sharing the wanderings of each of
our colorful imaginations. I hope you find this expression pleasing in
your Art Quilts and Wood Pieces. May you find comfort in your Empowerment
Shirts.
