It is my hope that by embracing the alive, intimate and immediate act of creating, I can present a moment of transcendence - the fleeting yet profound connection between the primordial and modern world.
Amelia Currier is a printmaker, painter and sculptor. She received her BFA in Intaglio Printmaking at WSU, Michigan, attended the Instituto Allende, Mexico and The Boston Museum School of Fine Arts. Her work has been exhibited at MOCAD, The Detroit Artists Market and The Scarab Club, all in Detroit, Michigan. She has also received many awards from juried exhibits in the US. Her work is in the collection of Fidelity Investments, The Duffy Collection, The Ontological Museum, The Ritz-Carlton Hotel, HI and Washington, DC and private collections.
