Art & Jazz

An Evening of Art & Jazz Join us for a captivating night where visual and performing arts converge. Experience a special guest performance by acclaimed opera singer Emily Mwila and celebrated musician Wayne Jones, set against the stunning backdrop of our 10,000-square-foot gallery, showcasing an exquisite collection of fine art and furnishings. An unforgettable fusion of music, culture, and creativity awaits.

Emily Mwila is a New Zealand-Zambian vocalist based in Chicago, blending her diverse cultural roots into a unique musical style. She began her career as a street performer in New Zealand, which eventually led her to study at Mannes School of Music and join the chorus of The Metropolitan Opera. Since then, she has performed leading roles with major opera houses, including Lyric Opera of Chicago and The Metropolitan Opera, and appeared in a Grammy-nominated recording. After over a decade in opera, Emily is returning to jazz, bringing her operatic power and range to the genre’s improvisational freedom.

Wayne Jones has been immersed in music since age seven, beginning with acoustic bass. He studied at the Interlochen School for the Performing Arts and DePaul School of Music, later performing internationally and at notable Chicago venues. His work spans live gospel recordings, theater productions, cruise lines, and corporate events, showcasing his skills on bass, percussion, and keyboards. Versatile across genres—from jazz and blues to Bollywood and country—Jones remains a sought-after musician in and beyond the Chicagoland area.
