The landscape has been a dominant theme in my work over a decade. In my recent work the environment and the present issue with climate change has become a subject that I have begun to explore. Whether the image is of birds or clouds or big sky and distant horizons, I choose the seas subjects to explore a new direction in my work. The changes are marked by returning to my abstract marks and line mixed with color fields to evoke a restful tension regarding these troubling issues to me.
