In my recent project dedicated to the visual and tangible investigation of the fifth dimension, I work with the principal unknown. I aim to crystallize a formal expression of the fifth dimension and manifest these forms as rhythmic and plastic structures. It turns out that the avant-garde forms still can visualize the feeling, the mind, and the music as the ancient music of the spheres, as «harmonia mundi.»
Investigating the visual possibilities of the fifth dimension's structural order, I approach the fundamental philosophical questions: Who are we? Where are we from? Why are we here?
Vera Sarycheva Smiley(b. Almaty, Kazakhstan) is an Austin-based sculptor whose work explores unseen energy and emotional connection through sculptural form. She graduated from the Faculty of Fine Arts at the Kazakh State University and has lived and worked across three continents. Vera has exhibited at the Museum of Arts of the Republic of Kazakhstan, with solo shows in Almaty, Astana, Austin, and Georgetown.
